Barac# 494; Bit# 1245 R1; 31mm.;Silver; with original ribbon; The medal was established by the Italian government on May 6, 1909. Silver medals were intended for the ships of the Baltic detachment of Rear Admiral V.I. Litvinov, who participated in the rescue of the inhabitants of Messina and Calabria affected by the earthquake on December 28, 1908. The battleships Slava and Tsesarevich, cruisers Bogatyr and Admiral Makarov were awarded The highest permission to accept medals minted by the Italian government was given in Tsarskoye Selo on May 16, 1911.
