Bronze, 41.5mm. By J. J. Barre; Obv. Conjoined busts l. of American philosopher-statesman Benjamin Franklin, BIENFAISANCE DU GENIE and French philanthropist Abbé Montyon, GENIE DE LA BIENFAISANCE. Rev. The legend names the 'Society for Portraits of Useful Men' around an oak wreath enclosing an inscription of 'Subscribers Associated for the Propagation of the History of Benefactors of Humanity'.
