Russia Bronze Medal Capture of Adrianople 1829 - Diakov# 485.1; Dogan 6478; N# 127335; Bronze; 38 mm.; At the end of the Russo-Turkish War of 1828-1829 (Greek War of Independence) Russia had captured Adrianople that had been the Ottoman Empire's capital until the conquest of Constantinople. The Peace of Adrianople was signed here in September of 1829 giving Serbia and Greece autonomy.; with old collectors tag; UNC
